VE (or Value Management, Value Analysis) is not simply a cost-cutting exercise; it is a creative process engaging a multidisciplinary team to assess all facets of the project (design, safety, environment, construction, maintenance and lifecycle cost). VE considers the project objectives, essential functions, and analyses potential cost savings and opportunities to improve value over the life of the project.
